Bakuchiol

Various studies have shown that there is little difference between Retinol and Bakuchiol in treating wrinkles and hyperpigmentation, although Retinol users did experience more skin dryness and sensitivity. Bakuchiol evens skin tone by deeply penetrates the skin to help lessen the appearance of dark spots or areas of hyperpigmentation. Like Retinol, it tells your cells to make collagen, plumping your skin and reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles. While Retinol may dry out skin or cause irritation, Bakuchiol is gentler and isn’t known to cause any irritation.

It’s clear that these similar results are why Bakuchiol is giving Retinol a run for its money.
